LEARNING CONVERSION OF SENTENCE

Conversion of Sentence

Negative to Affirmative

To change sentence from negative to affirmative without changing the meaning,we can do in the following way:-

a.if there is not/n't with auxiliary verb in the negative sentence,we should delete n't/not from the sentence and the rest.words are used accordingly.i.e

Negative:- He isn't honest
 Affirmative:- He is honest
Negative:-We won't go.
Affirmative:- we will go.
Negative:-They hadn't done this.
Affirmative:- they had done this.

Structure:-

Negative:-subject+auxiliary verb+not+verb+ext.
Affirmative:-subject+auxiliary verb+verb+ext.

b.if there is n't/not with to do auxiliary verb in the negative sentence, the n't/not with to do auxiliary verb should be deleted and the main will be used according to the tense of auxiliary verb to do.i.e.

Negative:-     We donot play ball.
Affirmative:-  We play ball.
Negative:-     He doesn't read a book.
Affirmative:-  He reads a book.
Negative:-     The baby didnot cry .
Affirmative:- The baby cried.

Structure:-

Negative:-subject+to do+not+verb+ext.
Affirmative:-subject+verb+ext.

c.if there is no after to have aux.verb in the sentence,no must be deleted and a/an is used instead of no.i.e.

Negative:-      I have no umbrella
Affirmative:-   I have an umbrella.
Negative:-     He has no car
Affirmative:-  He has a car.

Structure:-

Negative:-subject+to have+no+object.
Affirmative:-subject+have+a/an+object.

If the first letter of word starts with a vowel,an is used before it,otherwise a is used then.
